Abstract
Objectives: To explore the outsourcing of pharmaceutical care services as a new initiative project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Methods: This is a new initiative project driven by international guidelines for outsourcing pharmaceutical care services, based on a global business model, pharmaceutical project guidelines, and professional project management. It involves phases such as initial planning, execution, and monitoring. Results: The study explores the outsourcing of pharmaceutical care services with defined goals, including clinical and economic benefits for patients. The risk management model ensures project continuity, with effective monitoring and control of services. The study also discusses the transition to operational phases through project closure. Conclusion: The outsourcing of pharmaceutical care services is a new initiative project aligned with the pharmacy strategic plan under Saudi Vision 2030. It meets the demands of the pharmacy workforce, fulfills the requirements for pharmacy services, and enhances clinical pharmacy sections without additional costs. Implementation in Saudi Arabia is strongly recommended.
